Brian Carlo
Brian Carlo (he, him) has worked in Human Resources since 1988. He is a senior HR executive whose experience includes global total rewards, HRIS, risk management, safety, security, business continuity, and disability management. He has specialized in building companies, both public and private, through acquisitions.
Brian has consulted with companies globally on restructuring total rewards, integration through a merger or acquisition, managing through funding series, and more. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of HR for Frontier Communications. In his 11 years at the company, he oversaw the growth from 3,000 to 33,000 employees. Prior to Frontier Communications, Brian served as Vice President of Human Resources, North America for Pernod Ricard, Director of Benefits and Acquisition Integration at WebMD, HR Business Strategist at Sony Electronics, and Director of HR at the Museum of Modern Art.
Throughout his career, Brian has been responsible for multiple integrations, merging people, compensation, benefits, retirement plans, and employee data. He consistently prioritized employee morale and accuracy in compensation levels. Brian managed the creation of 98 separate company medical plans encompassing non-bargaining employees and bargaining employees, representing 68 separate union locals. He also negotiated benefits contracts and oversaw risk management, including worker’s compensation and disability management as the lead negotiator for all claims.
Brian holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Manhattan College, where he majored in finance and marketing. He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt. Brian has been active in youth sports and events as a coach for Little League baseball and soccer, hockey scheduler, Boy Scout Leader, and YMCA fundraiser.
